Here is all you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10

The latest flagship release from South Korean smartphone powerhouse Samsung is set to be available to local customers at the end of August , and the latest version of Samsung’s Galaxy Note won’t disappoint smartphone enthusiasts.

Released together with the Galaxy Note 10 Plus, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is an upgrade from the Note 9, which was released last year. It comes with improvements to the S-Pen that had tongues wagging in 2018, although it is thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Note 9.

Tom’s Guide calls it “one of the most compact phones ever with a 6.3-inch screen”, thanks to an almost completely bezel-free Infinity-O screen. The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus both come with dynamic AMOLED+, HDR10+-certified screens, made from Gorilla Glass 6. The screen resolutions on the two new releases differ, though, with the Note 10 and the Note 10 Plus respectively sporting 1020 x 2280 pixels and 1,440 x 3,040 pixels.

A triple-camera set-up, consisting of a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, equipped with 2x optical zoom, feature on both the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus. An extra sensor on the Note 10 Plus allows for depth effects in portrait mode, and advanced features on both phones, like Zoom-In Mic (which filters out background noise on recorded audio) and Live Focus Mode (which auto-focuses on subjects when video is filmed) will have photography and videography fans elated. Both phones feature a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

Don’t worry about the phones’ batteries not outlasting all the exercise you’ll be giving its camera – the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus boasts the biggest battery ever to be used in a flagship Samsung device, and packs a 4,300mAh punch. The Note 10’s 3,500mAh battery also isn’t to be scoffed at, and will ensure that you’re using the phone for longer between charges.

Both of Samsung’s latest releases are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, but the Note 10 and the Note 10 Plus do differ quite significantly as far as storage capabilities go.

The Note 10 comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (keep in mind that the Galaxy Note 10 does not come with a microSD card slot) while the Galaxy Note 10 Plus has 12GB of RAM and the option of either 256GB or 512GB of storage, with the microSD slot in this model allowing for up to a terabyte of storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are available in three different colour options: Aura Black, Aura White and Aura Glow, with the Note 10 also available in Aura Blue.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus are both available for pre-order through Vodacom – contact Agora Tec today to make sure you have yours in hand by the end of August.
