Samsung is the first major mobile manufacturer to reveal what it has been working on for release in 2019, and fans all over the world are excited about the latest additions to Samsung’s vault of mobile devices.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2019 was held on 20 February, and this is what’s new:

The Samsung Galaxy S10

The latest Samsung flagship device comes with a 3,400mAh battery to keep it running at lightning speed. The 6.1-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED curved screen features the world’s first ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that is built into the display, so it features less bezels than ever before.

The rear camera features a triple-lens system consisting of a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto lens and a 12MP lens, which can switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4 apertures. The front-facing 10MP camera fits the screen neatly, with a small punch hole that doesn’t look out of place.

In addition to the large battery, the Samsung Galaxy S10 comes with loads of power to boot with 8GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage and a top-end chip set for smooth operation.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is the luxury version of the S10, with many of the same specifications. What makes this device different, though, is a bigger 6.4-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED curved screen.

It sports the same triple-camera system as its flagship sibling, but adds another 8MP camera to the front, in addition to the 10MP that is already there.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus has a bigger, 4,100mAh battery, supporting the muscular 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

This is the premium model among the Galaxy S10 models, and it’s not just because it has 5G capabilities, as the name states. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G’s 6.7-inch screen is huge, as is its 4,500mAh battery.

Four cameras can be found on the back: the same three as on the S10, plus a 3D depth-sensing camera for use with augmented and virtual reality and facial recognition. On the front, you’ll find the same 10MP camera as on the Galaxy S10, together with an additional 3D depth-sensing camera.

8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and a micro-SD card slot gives you storage and snappiness for days. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is set for release later this year, as 5G technology becomes available across the globe.

The Samsung Galaxy S10e

This new release is a more affordable version of the flagship model and the S10 Plus, but it still has enough features to satisfy Samsung fans. The S10e has two cameras at the back: one 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens and a 12MP camera with variable aperture.

The punch-hole front camera is built into a 5.8-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen, with the fingerprint scanner being built into the side of the device rather than into the screen. A 3,100mAh battery powers the device, which has storage capabilities of up to 256GB and 6GB or 8GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold

Samsung has been teasing consumers about a foldable device for the past few months, and the Samsung Galaxy Fold was released to great excitement. When folded, this device has a 4.6-inch screen HD+ Super AMOLED display, which opens up to reveal a Herculean 7.3-inch QXGA+ (QHD+) Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex display, turning the phone into a tablet.

AKG stereo speakers provide the sound to your cinematic experience. The bigger screen allows for three-app multitasking, and app continuity means you can pick up where you left off when you switch to tablet mode.

A 4,380mAh battery drives this powerhouse, and 12GB of RAM, a top-end chipset and 512GB of storage makes it larger than life in more ways than one. The device features six cameras: three on the back – a 16MP and two 12MP cameras – a 10MP selfie camera on the front, and another two (10MP and 8MP) just above the display in the fold.

Samsung has expressed that the Samsung Galaxy Fold is probably its most premium device, and the retail price that customers will be paying for it, come late April – just under $2000 – make that as clear as the screens they’ll be watching the latest Netflix series on.
