It’s the season for giving with Vodacom’s #SummerGigs promotion

The summer has officially arrived, and in the spirit of the festive season, Vodacom’s #SummerGigs promotion promises to reward customers every day.

After the huge success of the mobile provider’s 2017 summer promotion, dubbed “Shake Every Day”, during which more than 21 million users got their share of data and prizes during the promotion, with a total of 890 million prizes allocated to be redeemed by customers, Vodacom’s 2018 summer promotion looks set to be the biggest data reward drive in the country.

How it works

Vodacom Prepaid, Top Up and Postpaid customers can opt into the #SummerGigs promotion by downloading the My Vodacom app (available for Android and Apple users) or by using the USSD code *133# and following the prompts.

By using a minimum of just 10MB of paid data a day, Vodacom customers will be eligible to receive free data the day after using it (ranging from 10% to 100% of the paid data used, depending on the total amount of chargeable data used and/or collected, and individual data usage). Customers can view their allocated daily bonus rewards bundle on the My Vodacom App or by dialling *133# and selecting the “My Rewards” option.

In addition, customers who use paid data as a part of the #SummerGigs promotion for 7 consecutive days will also receive an entry into a monthly draw, and will stand a chance to win one of 15 Renault Dusters – together with a year’s supply of fuel to the value of R24,000 – or to win one of three R1 million Vodacom Millionaires cash prizes.

Managing Executive of Brand and Communications at Vodacom, Abey Mokgwatsane believes the #SummerGigs promotion will make this December even better for Vodacom customers.

Speaking to TechFinancials, Mokgwatsane said, “Summer is all about having fun and sharing this with family and friends. That’s why we want to ensure that customers can look forward to connecting with each other this summer, and even being rewarded for doing so.”

Vodacom’s #SummerGigs promotion runs from 27 October 2018 to 10 February 2019.

Users can opt out of the promotion at any time, but will forgo any rewards they would be eligible for on the day of opting out. Upon changing their minds, customers may decide to opt in again at a later stage. See the complete terms and conditions of this promotion here.
