A new app promises to make settling all your monthly bills less of a drag. Dubbed walletdoc, the app is a free, secure web and mobile-based payment platform.
The app automatically notifies users once a bill is received, and also gives information about when payment is due. It stores account and reference numbers and also stores bills and proof of payment electronically for easy reference and access when you need it, making manual filing obsolete.
walletdoc has partnered with a myriad of supported billers, ranging from municipal payments to insurance bills, media bills and even religious contributions.
Because walletdoc is available to mobile users, payments can easily be made on the go, and the chances of missing a payment due to missing notification of it are almost completely eliminated. The app uses bank-level encryption, is PCI and POPI compliant, and all payments require verification by either your fingerprint or a PIN code, which means that you’ll never have to worry about the security of payments.
The walletdoc app is available for download on Android and iOS devices, and the set-up is simple: register on the app, after which you will be assigned with a walletdoc email address that billers can send bills to, or that you can forward bills to from another email address. Once the initial set-up has been completed, walletdoc will start notifying you of payments that are due, and you can start settling bills directly via the app.
