For the past couple of days, the world has mourned the loss of Stephen Hawking, the British physicist and black hole theorist who made science popular with his best-selling book, A Brief History of Time.
His wisdom expanded far past the universe of science and physics, and touched on issues of human life in general.
If you (or your business) ever have a day where it feels like the world is purposefully trying to hold you back, then return to this article and read the words of the late Stephen Hawking aloud.
“However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.”
“Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.”
“Life would be tragic if it weren’t funny.”
“The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.”
“So, remember, look at the stars and not at your feet.”
“It would not be much of a universe if it wasn’t home to the people you love.”
“We are in danger of destroying ourselves by our greed and stupidity.”
“I find that people in general are very ready to help, but you should encourage them to feel that their efforts to aid you are worthwhile by doing as well as you possibly can.”
